How to Safely Install Magisk on Android

How to instal magisk
Magisk is an open source software for rooting Android smartphones like SuperSU and can be used to install various modules such as the Xposed Framework..

But when doing root with magisk sometimes we experience problems, such as corrupted files that occur until bootloop.

Here are the steps to install magisk safely.

How to Safely Install Magisk

Before we start discussing the steps on how to install Magisk, make sure your Android device has TWRP installed, because how to install Magisk must go through TWRP.

Here I will install magisk on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro [Whyred]. Not only for Xiaomi, all Android smartphones can be rooted using Magisk as long as TWRP is installed.

I suggest you do a data backup first just in case before starting to the first step.

1. Download Magisk

Download the latest Magisk and Magisk uninstaller here, make sure you download the latest version..
After the download is complete, place it in your internal storage, place it outside the folder so you can easily find it.

2. Reboot Recovery

Then reboot into recovery mode by turning off your smartphone first, then turn it back on by pressing the power + volume down button for about 3-5 seconds.

3. Install Magisk.zip

After entering TWRP, select install, then select the magisk.zip file that you previously downloaded.
Then swipe to the right to begin the process of installing Magisk.

If there is, it means the installation process is successful. Congratulations!

If you get problems / bootloop

The process of installing Magisk will not always be successful, there are other factors that can cause problems such as bootloop when installing Magisk.

For example, the operating system does not support magisk, corrupted / error magisk.zip file, and other factors.

If you got bootloop after doing the steps to install Magisk above, don't panic.

All you have to do is go back into recovery mode and select install, and then you install magisk uninstaller files that had been downloaded previously.

Once again I want to remind, before doing these steps it is better for you to backup your data first to avoid things that are not desirable.

Note: in the steps to install this magisk, I practice it myself using my smartphone. I installed the magisk on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro [Whyred] and the TWRP that I used was OrangeFox Recovery.
